Many Croatians were miners in Bisbee, Arizona, around the turn of the century. This list of approximately 100 names, below, was extracted by Tom Ninkovich from a complete list of those buried in the Evergreen Cemetery, near Bisbee.
Tom says, "These are the ones that seemed most probably Slavic. If I was in doubt, I erred on the side of including the name. So there may very well be names in this list that are not actually of Slavic origin. Also, many of these names are Serbian or Montenegran, instead of Croatian. Anything in brackets [] is a comment from me."

Lowell Evergreen Cemetery. This is a large cemetery, located at Lowell, Arizona, a short distance southeast of Bisbee in Cochise County. The data is from LDS film #599853 and from records of the Hubbard and Dugan mortuaries of Bisbee. Some of the dates given as death dates may be dates of burial. Also, some records of individuals may list interment here when, in fact, they may be buried elsewhere.
